It's something completely out of the ordinary. It's an idea so outrageous that we can't help but embrace the probable possibilities. The mere statement of a Draco/Hermione relationship is one that inspires both amazement and loathing.

Those who refuse to accept the idea of Draco and Hermione's relationship being more than a mutual hatred can never see that their hatred just very well may be hiding their insecurities.

The Draco/Hermione relationship is set apart from every other pairing simply because not only is it different, but very likely as well. Everything a romantic relationship feeds upon is represented. Their vast differences only make the other more desirable, and the fact that their friends hate the other, making them "forbidden", can only add to the attraction.

It's like that opposites attract theory - Draco is the pureblood snotrag with an immense dislike for people who aren't like him. His father is a Death Eater, his family has loads of gold, and honestly - is there any part of the books involving Draco where he isn't bragging or being arrogant and irritating? Hermione is the Muggle-born witch whose parents are dentists; she's bright, clever, witty, and she knows how to slap with power if the need arises. She's loyal to her friends and unlike Draco, she treats others with kindess (usually, anyway).

Just knowing the obvious differences between them, something we Draco/Hermione shippers could say is that they complete each other so entirely that it seems practically perfect - how could they not be together? Hermione is the goodness and love that Draco never had the opportunity to experience, and Draco is the more rule-breaking, mischievous, and extremely persuasive counterpart. They both will use any means within their reach to get what they want or achieve their goals.

And come on, how can we not find the forbidden situation romantic? It seems that everything that is off-limits is only made more attractive. There are so many opportunities to seize in a world where Draco/Hermione exists.

It's like...it's so atypical. The many trials and challenges they face together don't come up with any other couple, canon or not, and their fierce love and devotion to each other leaves us breathless and awe-inspiring.

As Draco/Hermione shippers, we bend, manipulate, and even break the rules of the Harry Potter universe to create a darker, more twisted world of our own where the impossible isn't so impossible anymore - where two enemies can fall in a love so genuine that you can't help but be drawn in by it all.

Seduction is the name of the game, and when it comes down to the players, Draco and Hermione are the best.
