S P E L L S   U S E D   B Y   H E R M I O N E   G R A N G E R Accio - causes an object to fly towards the caster. During their fight against the Death Eaters, Hermione used this spell to summon Harry's wand to fly from a dark corner into her hand and threw it to him. (OotP35, p.790)
Alohomora - causes a locked door to open. Hermione used this spell to let herself, Ron, and Harry into the forbidden third floor corridor during their first year. (PS9) Hermione used this spell on Flitwick's window when she, Harry, and Buckbeak rescued Sirius. (PoA21, p.414) She also used this spell to open a door in the Department of Mysteries. (OotP34, p.774)
Aparecium - makes invisible ink and perhaps invisible items in general visible. Hermione tried this spell on Tom Marvolo Riddle's diary. (CoS)
Colloportus - seals a door, making an odd squelching noise. Hermione used this spell to seal a door in the Department of Mysteries against some Death Eaters. (OotP35, p.788)
Confundus - causes confusion. A person who is affected by this Charm is said to be Confunded. Hermione used this spell on Cormac McLaggen during Quidditch tryouts. (HBP11, p.227)
Expecto Patronum - conjures a Patronus, a silvery phantom shape, usually that of an animal, which is the embodiment of the positive thoughts of the caster. A Patronus will drive away Dementors. In order for the spell to work, the person must concentrate on a happy memory, which is especially difficult in the presence of a Dementor. Hermione conjured an otter as her Patronus at a D.A. meeting. (OotP27, p.607)
Expelliarmus - a disarming spell that causes opponent's weapon to fly out of reach. A basic defensive spell, taught at the Duelling Club. (CoS)
Flagrate - draws burning, fiery line in midair with the wand into specific shapes. Hermione used this spell to draw fiery X marks on the doors of the circular hall in the Department of Mysteries. (OotP34, p.772)
Impervius - makes something repel water. Hermione used this spell on Harry's glasses during a rainy Quidditch match. (PoA9, p.177)
Jelly-Legs Jinx - causes the target's legs to wobble uncontrollably. Hermione used the Jelly-Legs Jinx to shatter the Shield Charm that Harry' cast on himself while they were practicing for the Third Task. (GoF31, p.608)
Lumos - causes a small beam of light to shine from the end of the caster's wand. (GoF9, p.121)
Nox - turns off the light from a 'Lumos' spell.
Obliteration Charm - removes traces or tracks left by someone. Hermione used an Obliteration Charm as she, Harry, and Ron walked back up to the castle through the thickening snow, leaving no trace behind them. (OotP20, p.440)
Oppugno - causes something to attack with great speed. Hermione used this spell on a little flock of birds to make them attack Ron. (HBP14, p.302)
Petrificus Totalus - turns the entire body of the victim rigid or frozen. Hermione used this spell on Neville to prevent him from stopping her, Ron, and Harry from leaving the common room to hunt for the Sorcerer's Stone. (SS16)
Protean Charm - causes copies of an object to be remotely affected by changes made to the original. Hermione put this charm on a number of fake Galleons. Instead of the serial number around the edge of the coin, the time and date of the next D.A. (Dumbledore's Army) meeting appeared as it was subject to change. The Protean charm was a N.E.W.T. standard magic and she got the idea from the Death Eaters' scars. (OotP19, p.398-399)
Reparo - repairs damage to an object. Hermione used this spell to repair the broken glass in the door to a railway carriage compartment. (GoF11, p.169) She also used this spell to repair a teacup that Ron broke in Transfiguration class. (OotP30, p.679)
Silencio - silences the target of the spell. Hermione used this spell on a bullfrog and a raven during Charms. (OotP18, p.376) She also used this spell on a Antonin Dolohov during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, which weakened the spell he used to attack her. (OotP35, p.792)
Snitch Jinx - a delayed action jinx which writes the word 'sneak' across someone's face in pimples if they break an agreement they sign. Hermione used this spell on a piece of parchment that each member of the D.A. signed. (OotP16, p.346) When Marietta Edgecombe told Umbridge about the D.A. (Dumbledore's Army), the word 'sneak' broke out on her face instantly. (OotP27, p.612)
Specialis Revelio - causes something to show its hidden secrets. Hermione used this spell to find out more of Harry's Advanced Potion-Making book. (HBP9, p.193)
Stupefy - makes the target of the spell unconscious. Hermione used this spell on a Death Eater. (OotP35, p.790)
Tergeo - a siphoning spell. Hermione used this spell to siphons off Harry's dried blood after Draco broke his nose. (HBP8, p.162)
Unbreakable Charm - makes an object unbreakable. Hermione used this spell on the jar in which she captured Rita Skeeter in beetle form. (GoF37, p.728)
Wingardium Leviosa - causes an object to levitate. A spell taught to first year Charms students. (SS10)
